México Lindo y Querido tour was a total sucess in the Alamo City!

The band from Guadalajara, MX had a stop at the AT&T Center in San Antonio as part of their current USA México Lindo Y Querido Tour that includes all major cities and will extend until December and my dear friends, it was incredible!

But, if you are one of the ones who couldn’t get a ticket for the show, don’t be sad, Fer and gang are coming back again on September 2 to the AT&T Center, so you have a second chance to enjoy this band that has been playing since the early 80s.

The Show

It was 9:22 PM when the stage curtain went up while the drum beat of “Como Te Deseo” started in the back. The audience stood up and the screams were so loud we had to use our earplugs.

They were there, Fer, Alex, Juan, and Sergio in front of a sold-out show ready to bring the house down!

No time to rest with one hit after another!

Maná didn’t want to wait and start warming things up, they went straight to the point and the audience really enjoyed that!

Hello San Antonio! Tonight, we are going to have a f… awesome time! Thank you so much for being here!” Fer yelled to the fans and they started playing “De Pies A Cabeza“.

They continued with “Corazón Espinado” a Carlos Santana cover, and “Labios Compartidos“.

Cuando Los Angeles Lloran

A very special moment was dedicated to the memory of Chico Mendes with song “Cuando Los Angeles Lloran“. Chico was a Brazilian trade unionist who peacefully fought for the rights of rubber workers and defenders of the Amazon rainforest and the indigenous peoples who inhabit it. Including the endangered leatherback sea turtle. Mendes was shot death a week after his 44th birthday by cattle ranchers angered by his efforts to stop them from exploiting land in the Amazon jungle. During the performance of this song, a big inflatable turtle descended above the stage.

The show continued with “Vivir Sin Aire” and “Mariposa Traicionera” to slow things a little, but with the merge of “Oye Mi Amor / Get Up, Stand Up” cover of The Waulers, the crowd went up on their feet again and the party continued.  “Como Un Perro Enloquecido” was next right before Sergio on guitar and Alex on drums took the time to show their skills on their instruments with impressive solos.

Acoustic Set

After a small break, the band appeared on the other side of the venue, on a small stage mounted in the middle of the crowd to perform a serie of acoustic songs that included “Se Me Olvidó Otra Vez“, “Te Lloré Un Río“, “El Reloj Cucú“, “Huele A Tristeza“, and “Eres Mi Religión“.

But things were far from finished and the band continued playing their biggest hits “Me Vale“, “En El Muelle De San Blas“, “Clavado En un Bar” and for the very end, “Rayando El Sol“.

It was definitely a great show and we cannot wait to see them again on September 2nd, same time and same place!
