Zilker Park was buzzing with excitement as festival-goers gathered for one last round of incredible music. The lineup was stacked, and each artist brought their A-game, making it impossible to stand still. Orville Peck wowed the crowd with his soulful voice and masked mystique, delivering a surprise collaboration with the legendary Willie Nelson that made the day feel truly historic.
Cannons followed up with their dreamy, synth-pop sound, while Chappell Roan lit up the stage with her vibrant and fearless performance. Dom Dolla turned the park into a massive dance party with his high-energy beats, and Tyler, the Creator closed out the night with an explosive, genre-defying set that left everyone speechless. Day Three was a whirlwind of sound, energy, and emotion—a perfect end to an unforgettable weekend.

The third and final day of ACL 2024 was absolutely unreal! The lineup was once again packed, making it tough to decide which acts to catch. But we powered through, determined to experience as many performances as possible before the weekend came to an end.
We made a point to explore a variety of genres, moving seamlessly between country, electro-pop, dance, and more. The diversity of sounds kept things exciting, and we were able to enjoy an eclectic mix of music that perfectly showcased the festival’s wide-ranging appeal. Each stage offered something new, making the day feel like a musical journey across styles and emotions.
ORVILLE PECK
We started our day with Orville Peck, who delivered a spellbinding performance that fused his mysterious, outlaw country persona with deep emotion and stunning vocals. His haunting baritone resonated through the park as he performed hits like “Big Sky,” “Turn To Hate.” and “The Hurtin’ Kind.” Just when the crowd thought they’d seen it all, Willie Nelson made a surprise appearance, joining Peck on stage for a heartfelt rendition of “Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other.” The crowd erupted in cheers as the two country legends shared the stage, creating an iconic moment that will be remembered for years.
Peck’s blend of modern country with classic influences made his set a standout of the day, and his stage presence captivated the audience from start to finish. The Willie surprise was the cherry on top, cementing Orville Peck’s performance as one of the most memorable of ACL 2024.
CANNONS
Following the country vibes from Orville Peck, we moved to the other side of the field to enjoy Cannons, who brought their dreamy, electro-pop vibes to ACL’s final day, offering the perfect balance of chill grooves and danceable beats. From the moment they hit the stage, Michelle Joy’s ethereal vocals transported the crowd into a lush, sonic landscape. Performing hits like “Hurricane” and “Bad Dream,” the trio created a mesmerizing, almost hypnotic atmosphere that had the audience swaying and vibing along.
Their shimmering synths, combined with smooth basslines, gave the park an ethereal glow as the sun began to set. Cannons’ ability to craft a nostalgic yet futuristic sound made their set stand out, creating an immersive experience that felt both intimate and expansive. CHAPELL ROAN
After a short break because the heat was intense, we moved to the main American Express stage to wait for one of the best acts of this year’s ACL edition, the unique Chappell Roan, who brought high-octane energy and vibrant theatrics to the ACL stage, lighting up Day Three with her bold and dynamic performance. From the moment she stepped out in her glittering ensemble, she had the crowd’s attention locked in. Performing standout tracks like “Femininomenon,” “Naked In Manhattan”Roan’s set was a colorful explosion of pop perfection mixed with raw emotion. When it was the turn for “Hot To Go!” song, the whole audience went crazy, us included! To witness the dance/choreography of thousands and thousands of fans to the song, it was impressive.
Her powerful vocals and unapologetically fierce stage presence made for a captivating show. The audience fed off her electric energy, dancing and cheering along with every beat. Chappell’s infectious confidence, combined with her fun, rebellious spirit, created an empowering atmosphere that had everyone feeling uplifted and free. Her performance was a joyful celebration of individuality and self-expression, and she left the stage having made a huge impression on the ACL crowd, showing she’s an unstoppable force in the pop world.
DOM DOLLA
Switching gears, we went to enjoy some good dance music with the Australian producer/DJ Dom Dolla, who turned Zilker Park into an all-out dance party with his infectious house beats and high-energy performance. His set was an adrenaline rush from start to finish, with the crowd immediately locked into his pulsating rhythms. Playing bangers like “Beat The System” and “San Frandisco,” Dom had the audience dancing non-stop, creating an electric atmosphere that could be felt across the entire park.
