A magical and fantastic night we just had at the Moody Center in Austin, TX with the inimitable Luis Miguel!
His concert in Austin, Texas was nothing short of a musical phenomenon, showcasing the timeless talent of the Latin music legend. The Mexican icon, often referred to as the “Sun of Mexico,” brought his unparalleled vocal talent and charismatic stage presence to a captivated audience that didn’t stop singing and screaming the whole night.
An event of such magnitude couldn’t be missed so we drove to Austin to witness his return to the stages after 4 years of not performing live.
THE SHOW
From the moment Luis Miguel graced the stage, the energy in the arena was palpable. His suave and enigmatic persona, along with his perfectly tailored black suit and tie, set the tone for an evening of pure elegance and musical excellence.
The setlist divided into five sections, was a journey through his extensive career, featuring classic boleros, rancheras, and pop hits that have resonated with fans for decades. His velvety voice effortlessly traversed octaves, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that left the audience in awe. From the romantic ballads to the upbeat numbers, every song was met with thunderous applause and sing-alongs, showcasing the deep connection fans have with his music.

Some highlights of the nights were when Luis Miguel sang “Smile” featuring Michael Jackson and “Fly With Me” with Frank Sinatra. The majestic fusion of voices was beautiful. Images of both singers were being shown on screen while Luis Miguel was singing live.
Another amazing surprise was the presence of the Mariachi Vargas on stage to play songs “La Fiesta Del Mariachi”, “La Bikina” and “La Media Vuelta.”
For almost two hours, fans enjoyed an incredible show that took us through a journey of his life since day one.
He took us from Pop and romantic songs such as as “Será Que No Me Amas”, “Suave”, “Culpable O No”, “Hasta Que Me Olvides” to Boleros “Como Yo Te Ame”, “Solamente Una Vez” and “Somos Novios” to Rancheras songs “La Bikina” and “La Media Vuelta” keeping the audience always connected to the singer and in a total sense of excitement!
Luis Miguel’s return to the stages in Texas was a testament to his enduring legacy in the world of Latin music. He proved, once again, that he remains a singular talent, transcending generations and borders. As the final notes of the encore faded away, the audience was left with an indelible memory of a truly extraordinary evening with a living legend.
