Iconic 80's band took us back in time!
Last night was definitely one for the books.
Two bands took us back in time with great songs and big nostalgia and it was just amazing.
We met at The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, TX where opening act Strange Love – The Depeche Mode Experience and 80’s new wave and legendary band A Flock Of Seagulls gave an incredible show for almost 3 hours and the crowd never stopped singing along and dancing.
STRANGE LOVE - THE DEPECHE MODE EXPERIENCE
The night started with Depeche Mode‘s tribute band Strange Love that throw an incredible show playing hits of the English electronic band with such perfection you could just close your eyes and truly believe you were in front of the original band. Songs such as “Personal Jesus”, “Behind The Well”, “People Are People”, “Master And Servant”, “I Just Can’t Get Enough”, “Stranger” and “Never Let Me Down” were part of their performance.
A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS
But of course, the crowd was anxious to see Mike Score and gang on stage and it was a little bit after 9pm when the lights went down and music started!
They were there, the band considered as pioneers of what we know today as electronic music, dance music and contemporary pop in front of hundreds of fans who gathered to see this iconic band.
Maybe the crazy haircuts are no longer there, but the amazing music and performance is still there.
Songs such as “Automatic“, “Hearts On Fire“, “Nightmares“, and “The More You Live” were part of the first part of their show for attendees to start warming engines. But it was definitely with “Space Age Love Song” and classic hit “I Ran (So Far Away)” when things got out of control.
It was truly an amazing night and a great way to start this 2023 that is coming full of incredible shows!
Hope you enjoy this gallery of photos and video from last night.
