There is no doubt the incredible success of Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Bad Bunny is taking everyone by surprise.

This year alone, the singer has raised more than $120 million dollars in his concerts, making his tour one of the most lucratives in the world. 

His ‘World’s Hottest Tour’ is having an incredible response from fans, and not fans, with packed stadiums.

But, besides all this, there are some facts about Benito’s life you may not be aware of. 
Here we leave you just a few ones so you can know a little bit more about him.

1 - The Beginning

At home, he used to listen to all kind of music styles, from classic, to romantic and boleros. But living in San Juan were Reggaetón was born, he was pretty much exposed to this rhythm his parents didn’t like too much. So, he was only allowed to hear one reggaetón artist, that was Tego Calderón, who is now a friend and partner in the music business.

2 - Early singing

Since he was a little kid, he loved to sing. He used to be part of the church chorus from age 5 to 13 and also used to stand on his home balcony to sing hits of the moment were his peculiar voice had neighbors turned heads arounds to listen.

3 - The Origin of Bad Bunny

His real name is Benito Antonio Martínes Ocasio, born on March 10, 1994 in Almirante Sur, Puerto Rico and got his artistic name of Bad Bunny from a childhood memory when he was dressed as a bunny in kindergarten and a photo of Benito is there to prove it.

4 - Before Fame

He started uploading his songs to Soundcloud platform around 2016. When success arrived at 22 age, he was still working at a supermarket chain’ Econo’ in Puerto Rico and studying Communication.

5 - Collaborations

Do to the success of his songs, he has collaborated with international artists such as Drake, Will Smith, Cardi B, Rosalía, Marc Anthony, Residente, Julieta Venegas among others. And also has been parted of innumerable international festivals such as Coachella and others around the world.
